Learning

at Amano Christian School

Learning at Amano Christian School is backed by, labs and libraries. Our aim is to keep students up-to-date with latest technology and trends.

Academic Curriculum

Our curriculum reflects the Christian ethos of the school and all subjects are taught from a biblical perspective. The Scripture and our Christian Foundations lessons are at the forefront of the curriculum for all students.

The rest of our subjects are based on a UK curriculum using material from Cambridge International Examinations in the secondary school. Naturally we want the students to understand and appreciate the country in which we live, so studies of Zambia form part of the Geography and History lessons each year before students begin the IGCSE courses in Grade 11.

Our curriculum is designed to enable students gifted in practical subjects to develop their skills, and currently offer courses in Food Technology, Textiles, Art and Agriculture.

Students in the Upper Secondary grades have opportunities to explore career possibilities through lectures, the internet, work experience and field visits within the local area.

What makes our youth gifted and talented may not always be good grades in school, but a different way of looking at the world and learning.
